Predictably Irrational

I devoured this book this weekend (some hours in the train well spent).

Dan Ariely is a professor of behavioural economics at MIT.
If you have anything to do with pricing and/or consumer behavior I can recommend this book. It has some great insights which will be important for pricing in the digital economy. And yes, the word “free” is mentioned in the book, too. But there is a lot more. The book demonstrates how expectations, emotions, social norms and other invisible, seemingly illogical forces skew our reasoning abilities.

There are a lot of things to use from this book. I will try to quote some ideas soon …
